Enom.com Domain registrar review

Enom.com domain registrar is basically a Domain reseller. Enom is the second largest domain registrar of the world as far as the domain names they are managing for their customers is concerned. At the time of writing this article they have  over 9 million domains under them with a market share of over 8%. Enom is the closest threat to the largest domain registrar of the world Godaddy, yet it still is too far away from Godady. You can create an account with them and choose a reseller plan that best suits you and start your own domain registrations business. With enom, You can have your own private labeled domain registrations service and the company assures that they will never compete with you for your customers and whatever customer base you grow with your own business is going to be your own as long as they are satisfied with you. The company states on their website that they “Never compete with you for your customers”.

Enom offers different slabs of domain reseller accounts for their customers. Their top domain reseller plan PREMIER costs you $1,595 as setup fee to get started with Option A while their Option B gives you $6,995 Enom points with no setup fee for the same amount of your money ($6,995) which you can later redeem to the same value products. According to Enom 1 Enom point equals to one dollar. So with option B you won’t lose anything, You pay them $6,995 to get your account up and running and can later use the same $6,995 to buy whatever products you want, as far as I know this is the best deal with their lowest domain pricing $8.50 for a .com (they say the pricing is the same to .com, .net, .org, .info, .name, .biz and .us on this plan). All you need to have is a sum of $6,995 to get started.

Their next plan VOLUME costs you $995 as setup fee with no enom points for option A and with option B you will need to have $3,975 to get started with 3,975 enom points which you can later redeem for equivalent value products at a price of $9.50 a year for a .com domain. According to enom, the plan enom is the most popular plan for active resellers. This might be a good reseller plan to get started but you are losing the $8.50 pricing of the PREMIER plan here. But you will only have to pay $995 as setup fee or have $3,975 to get started with option B the same amount of which you can later redeem for products or services. This is still a good plan if you are short of  the amount to get started with Enom PREMIER reseller plan but have enough to pay for VOLUME plan, but of course at the expense of a slightly higher domain pricing plan.

Enom.com next reseller plan is BASIC and it costs you $495 as setup fee to get started with option A with no enom points. And with option B you will have to have $1,495 to get started with the same value 1,495 enom points which you can later use to redeem same valued products. But with this BASIC reseller plan you would get a .com (and other domain TLDs listed above) domain at $10.50 a year which is costlier than Premier plan by $2 and Volume plan by $1. This is still a good plan considering most of the even cheap domain registrars are offering domain names at the same price at the moment. But if you want to have some edge over them as a new domain registrar, probably this is not the plan for you. You better get some $1,595 to get started with Premier plan Option A or $6,995 for premier plan Option B.

Enom domain registrar’s last reseller plan, their cheapest and costliest plan for domain pricing as far as the reseller is concerned, is ALTERNATIVE. You need only $195 to get started with the alternative reseller plan option A (Their is no option B) but at a costly $11.50 a year for a .com and other domain TLDs listed earlier in this article. The advantage of this plan is you can get started with just $195 and become a domain registrar (reseller) and the disadvantage of this plan is you will have to pay $11.50 a year per each single domain you manage. Finally, Enom.com is a great domain registrar (reseller) and with a company like this you are definitely going to grow bigger if you can manage to sustain in the domain registrations business.
